A warm, soothing Ayurvedic-inspired drink made with turmeric, ginger, and spices. Perfect for evenings or when you need a comforting boost.
Ingredients (1 serving)
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or coconut)
- ½ tsp ground turmeric (or 1 tsp fresh grated turmeric)
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground ginger (or ½ tsp fresh grated ginger)
- Pinch of ground black pepper (helps absorption of turmeric)
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
- Optional:
- Pinch of cardamom or nutmeg
- ½ tsp coconut oil or ghee
- Small piece of fresh turmeric root
Instructions

Combine ingredients: In a small saucepan, add the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and coconut oil/ghee (if using).

Heat gently: Warm over medium-low heat, whisking frequently. Do not let it boil — heat until hot and steaming (about 5 minutes).

Sweeten: Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.

Strain & serve: Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a mug. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
